Do you think IDEA StatiCa Connection is used only for complex joints in large projects? Well, see how it helps also with easy, yet special daily basis tasks in small design offices.

In the Connection Wednesdays webinar series, we have shown you a couple of projects of the most interesting steel structures designed and built around the world, where IDEA StatiCa Connection often saved tons of working hours code-checking steel joints in complex situations. Let’s take a look at the other side of engineering praxis – daily basis projects of rather smaller significance, yet of course the same need for safety and quality design of steel connections.

Customer profile

We are proud to present one “customer project” from eastern France, a company metallerie Antonietti based in the city of Exincourt. This firm focuses on metalworks since 1947, providing full services from design to production and contruction of various steel structures. Learn more at https://antonietti-metallerie.fr/

Webinar content

During the webinar, we will present the workflow of code-checking a custom joint – anchoring of a steel balcony construction to a facade of an older villa house. We will take advantage of the BIM link, importing the joint and all load combinations from Robot Structural Analysis model.

In addition, we will go through one “HelpDesk highlight” – a current vibrant topic from our support desk. There were discussions on whether IDEA StatiCa can outplay the excel sheets and simple software regarding the code-check of simple connections. Well, let’s have a look…
