- IDEA StatiCa commercial and EDU license users.
HOW AND WHERE CAN I APPLY?
- Registration is valid after filling in the registration form. As stated earlier, it is a prerequisite to log in to the IDEA StatiCa User Portal.
HOW DO I CORRECTLY CLASSIFY THE SUBCATEGORY OF A MY PROJECT?
Project size definition:
Small scale projects: low-rise buildings, commercial, residential, retail, infrastructure, industrial and recreational, or any other small-scale structure that fits into 20x20x20 m.
Large scale projects: high-rise buildings, commercial, residential, retail, infrastructure, industrial and recreational, or any other large-scale structure, that is bigger than 20x20x20 m.
The student category: Any academic project, that was designed in IDEA StatiCa software.
WHAT OTHER KINDS OF FILES AND HOW MUCH CONTENT CAN I ADD TO MY PROJECT FILES?
You can upload .ideaCon, .jpg, .jpeg, .svg, .png, .pdf, ... files. The maximum individual file size is 10 MB. A maximum of 10 files can be uploaded with your entry.
Specification of uploaded content:
1) A plan, section and views of the structure
2) Related IDEA StatiCa files
3) Real photos/a visualization of the whole construction
4) Optional - A report from the IDEA StatiCa application and other screenshots (FEA, CAD, ...)
5) Optional - A drawing of the detail/member
WHAT IS THE EVALUATION PROCESS?
Winners will be picked by a jury formed of fellow structural engineers, academics, and senior IDEA StatiCa specialists. The jury will take the following factors into account:
- The usage of the IDEA StatiCa application
- The level of presentation (description and number of attachments)
- The originality of the solution
- The creativity of the engineer
- The technical level of the solution
