Reinforced Concrete Truss Beam (ACI)

This demonstration showcases a potential weight reduction method for a beam by employing a truss design. It involves the calculation of a 15.5-meter (50.85 ft) reinforced concrete truss beam. All necessary checks, including Ultimate Limit State (ULS) and Serviceability Limit State (SLS), are provided, along with comprehensive checks of the openings. The design adheres to ACI standards (metric units) and was developed using IDEA StatiCa DETAIL.
