About the GT STRUDL by Hexagon plugin

You can export your entire structure or parts of your GT STRUDL model to json file format containing the model geometry, materials, and cross-sections used, as well as the internal force results for specified load cases and combinations. Json file can be imported to IDEA Checkbot using IdeaGTStrudlPlugin. This allows you to model, design, load, and check steel connections of any topology and loading. IDEA StatiCa and GT STRUDL give you an efficient workflow for your structural steel design that saves time, minimizes errors, helps with optimization, and makes the data available to your colleagues or subcontractors doing detailing and fabrication.

Using IdeaGTStrudlPlugin you can set up a new Checkbot project and import model in json format exported from the GT STRUDL. Then you can run IDEA StatiCa Connection and start detailing the nodes of your choice. The IDEA json file can be exported from GT STRUDL 43 and newer releases.
