A pile cap usually forms the deep foundations of a structure, typically a multi-story building, bridge, or support base for heavy equipment. Are you interested in designing and code–checking all different pile caps easily? Join our free webinar.

The conventional Strut&Tie approach for discontinuity regions has a number of limitations, like lacking crack width checks.  On the contrary, the CSFM (Compatible Stress Field Method) implemented in the IDEA StatiCa Detail application gives a much more accurate analysis of D-regions and allows engineers to easily do all ULS and SLS checks required by the design code.

This webinar brings insight into the solution of pile caps with the anchoring of steel and concrete column. The webinar's goal is to show what elements are used for anchors and how to apply the load to concrete and anchors for the variant with a steel column. The application of the internal forces from FEA and boundary conditions for piles is introduced in the second variant with concrete columns. We end up the webinar with the presentation of the results, mainly stress, cracks, and deflections.
