IDEA StatiCa develops software for structural engineers. That is a long journey. Firstly it means we research, test, and apply new methods of analyzing the behavior of structures. Secondly, we shape all that technology into simple engineering applications which have to be reliable, fast, and accurate. For us, creating software is a way to contribute to making every new structure around the world safer and cheaper.

Lubomir es uno de los pioneros en el uso de métodos CAE en análisis estructural en todo el mundo. Con su equipo, ha estado desarrollando herramientas para esta industria durante más de 30 años: Esa Prima Win, SCIA Engineer, etc. En 2009, cambió su enfoque al diseño de elementos estructurales, el uso de tecnología en la nube y la adopción de BIM. Su objetivo es completar las piezas que faltan en el flujo de trabajo global de ingenieros estructurales y fabricantes.

Theodore Tsirozidis

Trabajando en la industria del software AEC desde 2007, Theodore ha estado ayudando a ingenieros y otros profesionales a implementar tecnologías y herramientas BIM modernas en sus flujos de trabajo de diseño. En 2015, presentó IDEA StatiCa en el Reino Unido y, desde entonces, ha liderado el equipo del Reino Unido con un objetivo principal: ayudar a los ingenieros estructurales de todo el Reino Unido a mejorar su productividad y diseñar estructuras más eficientes y seguras.

Aleks se graduó como ingeniero civil en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Wuppertal. Es un apasionado de las tecnologías de la información y el software. Construyó un negocio exitoso alrededor de SCIA Engineer. Desde 2021 es director general de IDEA StatiCa Deutschland GmbH.

“IDEA StatiCa is not about one person; it is an ecosystem of professionals. Creating software for structural engineers is highly specific because you need to mix coding, structural engineering, and advanced numerical methods. That is why we built up a team of over 60 people and an extensive network of collaborating experts and companies”, says Lubomir Sabatka.
And yes, there is some rocket science there. Head of our Solver team, Jaromir Kabelac, used to model and calculate the lifecycle behavior of wings of airplanes. With his colleagues at IDEA StatiCa, he applies the finite-element method to the most demanding calculation challenges of structural engineering.
